Terms and Conditions – Hire With Lani

1.Introduction
These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings and hires made with Hire With Lani.
By placing a booking with us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
We want your experience with Hire With Lani to feel seamless, enjoyable and simple. These terms are intended to keep the process clear, fair and running smoothly for all customers.
2. Bookings and Payments
Enquiries
All enquiries and booking requests are to be made via Instagram direct message (DM) to @hirewithlani.
Booking confirmation
A booking is only confirmed once:
- your requested hire date has been confirmed by Hire With Lani; and
- the required deposit has been received.
Deposit
A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking.
Final payment
The remaining balance must be paid in full prior to shipping or collection.
Payment method
All payments must be made by bank transfer.
Failure to pay
If full payment is not received by the required time, Hire With Lani reserves the right to cancel the booking and make the item available to another customer.
2. Hire Period, Shipping, Collection and Returns
Hire period
The hire period is the period confirmed by Hire With Lani at the time of booking.
Shipping or collection
Items may be shipped or collected, as arranged at the time of booking.
Return of items
All hired items must be returned by the agreed return date and time.
Late returns
Late returns may impact subsequent bookings. Hire With Lani reserves the right to charge a late fee where an item is returned after the agreed return time. Where a late return causes further loss or disruption, additional charges may apply.
Responsibility during hire
From the time the item is collected or delivered, until it has been safely returned to and received by Hire With Lani, the hirer remains fully responsible for the item.
3. Cleaning, Care and Use
Professional cleaning included
Professional cleaning is included in the hire price.
No self-cleaning
Garments must not be washed, dry cleaned, ironed, steamed or otherwise cleaned by the hirer.
Care of garments
All items must be handled with care and returned in the same condition in which they were received, fair wear and tear excepted.
Avoid damage
Please take care to avoid contact with fake tan, excessive makeup, body oils, perfume, adhesives, safety pins or any product likely to stain, mark or damage the garment.
No alterations
No alterations, repairs or modifications may be made to any hired item.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation notice
All cancellations must be made in writing via Instagram direct message to @hirewithlani.
10 or more days before the hire date
If a booking is cancelled at least 10 days before the agreed hire date, a full refund will be provided.
Less than 10 days before the hire date
If a booking is cancelled within 10 days of the agreed hire date, all amounts paid are non-refundable.
After shipping or collection
Once an item has been shipped or collected, the booking is non-refundable.
Change of mind
Refunds are not provided for change of mind, incorrect sizing selection, failure to wear the item or cancellation of your event.
5. Damage, Loss and Responsibility
Repairable damage
If a garment is returned with damage requiring repair, the hirer agrees to pay the reasonable cost of repair.
Damage beyond repair, loss or non-return
If a garment is returned damaged beyond repair, is lost, stolen or not returned, the hirer agrees to pay the full recommended retail price (RRP) of the item.
What damage includes
Damage includes, but is not limited to, permanent staining, tears, burns, missing components, broken fastenings, fabric damage, stretching or any condition that makes the garment unsuitable for future hire.
Notify us before wear
If you believe an item has been received in a faulty or unsatisfactory condition, you must notify Hire With Lani before wearing the garment.
6. Condition of Garments
Hire With Lani takes great care to ensure each item is cleaned, checked and prepared for hire before dispatch or collection.
As our pieces are hired garments, minor signs of wear consistent with normal use may occasionally be present. This is considered normal and does not constitute a fault.
7. Our Right to Cancel
In rare circumstances, Hire With Lani may need to cancel a booking where an item becomes unavailable due to damage, late return by a previous customer, loss or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
If this occurs, we will do our best to offer a suitable replacement or provide a refund of amounts paid for that booking.
8. Ownership and General Terms
All hired items remain the property of Hire With Lani at all times.
Hire With Lani reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The version in effect at the time of booking will apply to that booking.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
